The debate on “History, Memory and Culture” promoted by Eduardo Mondlane University’s School of Communication and Arts (ECA), in partnership with the Mozambican History Workshop ( Oficina de História de Moçambique) at the Portuguese Cultural Centre in Maputo ends today.
The debate intends to disseminate the scientific production that results from works done by the students, teachers and researchers of this institution, the first institution of higher education in Mozambique to introduce the teaching of the arts and communication.
The event also brings together researchers from other fields of knowledge such as photography, literature, plastic arts, history, contemporary music, production and management of shows, all associated in some way with the concept of cultural and creative industries.
In general terms, the colloquium hopes to share experiences and research work carried out by national and foreign researchers with interests in these themes and others associated with it, in order to foster a dialogue about knowledge associated with the arts and communication, contributing for the enrichment of the debate on these areas in a perspective that focuses on the epistemological and ecological aspects of production and knowledge.
