Beira Central Hospital haemodialysis equipment installed and waiting for a specialist

Beira Central Hospital is now in possession of equipment for haemodialysis, a treatment which removes toxic substances from the blood when the kidneys malfunction.
The acquisition is a breakthrough for the area, given that patients currently have to be transferred to Maputo for treatment.
The hospital is now only awaiting the arrival of a specialist to strengthen the team and enable it to deal with kidney malfunction locally.
