All Dimensions are Real
This Tuesday, November 7, at 06h00 pm, the opening ceremony of the exhibition "All Dimensions are Real" by the Mozambican plastic artist Tininha will be held at the BCI Auditorium in Maputo. In this first individual exhibition of the artist, there will be over 40 works, predominantly acrylic on canvas and spatula.
Known in the artistic milieu by Tininha, Albertina Santos is a chemical analyst of formation. She was born in the 50's, in Lourenço Marques, now Maputo, and worked in several branches of industrial activity. In 2007 she started new challenges, having embraced therapeutics, an area where she obtained several international certifications.
In 2011 opportunities arose to realize her artistic dream and, with the support of artists Hélder Nhackotou and João Fornasini, she has paintings at Nucleo de Arte. In 2016, she took a course in painting in cloth and glass, guided by Maria das Dores Silva André, promoter of art and crafts, at Lar Nova Esperança, in the city of Matola.
It should be noted that the show can be seen, with free admission, until 16 November.
