Police find three burnt bodies in Chizavane, Mozambique

Mozambican police found the bodies of three men in the bush in Chizavane, Manjacaze district, Gaza province, on Friday.
“They are presumed to have been killed by a mob elsewhere, then brought here [and their bodies burned],” police spokesman Edgar Juvane said.
The victims are from the neighbouring districts of Xai-Xai and Chidenguele and aged 24, 29 and 34. They have already been identified by relatives, who told authorities that the three had left early on Thursday morning without saying where they were going.
Police suspect they had attempted to steal some cattle but were caught by members of the public.
