Frelimo Congress: More than 3,500 expected

Nearly 3,500 people are expected to participate in the Eleventh Frelimo Congress in Matola, Maputo province, this week. Some of the delegates and guests, including Mozambicans from overseas, are already there.
Frelimo spokesman António Niquice told a press conference in Maputo on Sunday that topics such as effective peace and increased production and productivity would be discussed during the meeting.
With just a few hours to go before September 25, the date of the Armed Forces Day (or Revolution Day), Frelimo congratulated fighters for their contribution to national independence, and spokesperson Antonio Niquice urged young people to draw inspiration from the ideals of the 25 September generation.
