Rádio Moçambique / Noor Momade
The climate of peace and understanding brought about by the dialogue between President Nyusi and Renamo leader Afonso Dhlakama is bringing significant gains to the tourism sector in the country, president of the Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators of Mozambique, Noor Momade, maintains.
Thanks to the cessation of military hostilities, the number of tourists visiting the country has increased. Compared with the same period last year, the first eight months of this year permitted the partial recovery losses accumulated during the political-military conflict.
Noor Momad revealed that travel and tourism operators foresaw good attendance at tourist resorts over the year-end festive season by national and foreign citizens.
