Japanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Kentaro Sonoura has begun on Wednesday a three-day working visit to Mozambique in the framework of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, Sonoura will be received in audience by the Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, and hold talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Oldemiro Baloi.
The Japanese diplomat will also have a working meeting with the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ernesto Max Tonela.
Sonoura’s agenda includes a meeting in Maputo with representatives of Japanese companies investing in Mozambique.
“The visit of the Japanese Minister of State comes following the presidential visit to Japan last March by his Excellency Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, which opens the door to address issues related to bilateral cooperation as well as multinational issues,” reads in a press release from the embassy of Japan in Maputo, sent to the editorial office of AIM.
