The Consultative Labour Commission (CCT), which brings together government, employers and the trade union movement, holds it first meeting of 2016 on Monday, presided over by Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security Victoria Diogo.
The meeting will discuss the 2015 Economic and Social Balance and prospects for 2016 as the basis for discussions on minimum wages in the country.
The meeting will also survey CCT activities in 2015 and present a timetable of meetings of specialized sub-committees and plenary sessions. Those attending will be briefed on the current status of employment policy in the development in the country and on public holidays.
The meeting, in the CCT headquarters in Maputo, will be attended by members of the government’s social and economic sectors and by representatives of employer and union social partners.
