Millennium bim opened a branch in the village of Metangula, headquarter of the Lago district, in Niassa province this Friday, in partnership with the Mozambican Post office.
The new venture aims to promote financial inclusion through the integration of banking in post offices.
The new partnership will also require reclassifying the Post Offfice’s real estate assets, which now provide a range of Millennium bim products and banking services as well as postal services.
The new branch will provide banking services to the 85,000 inhabitants of the region as well as postal services, all in a modern and functional space.
The opening underlines Millennium bim’s commitment to supporting the economy, promoting innovation and augmenting the national financial system, as well as promoting savings and developing financial solutions for families and businesses.
The bank now has a total of 179 branches throughout the country, with eight branches in Niassa province alone.
