Voter registration in Mozambique will take place in early 2018, Paulo Cuinica, spokesman for the National Election Commission (CNE), announced yesterday.
The census aims to update the number of voters before municipal elections in October 2018.
According to Cuinica, the general population census scheduled for this year will also make for a more accurate calculation of the size of the electorate.
Structures supporting the electoral process will start to be put in place over the next two months, the spokesman added.
