Mozambique: Health system faces shortage of BCG vaccine

The Ministry of Land, Environment and Rural Development yesterday began collecting illegal plastic bags from commercial establishments in Maputo and all the provincial capitals of Mozambique, Folha de Maputo reports today.
A new Environment Ministry regualtion requires the producer to label the plastic bag with the manufacturer’s name or logo and physical address, and the product’s characteristics, including the volume, material used, symbol and the plastic’s thickness.
Since Monday, multi-sectoral taskforces drawn from the Mozambique customs service, the National Inspectorate of Economic Activities and others, have been out monitoring the implementation of the new regulations.
