Chemba district is to get four new to facilitate free movement of people and goods in the Sofala province region.
The infrastructures, built from scratch, were paid for by the government and its partners within Economic and Social Plan.
The director of the district offices of Planning and Infrastructure in Chemba, Beta da Silva, says that the bridges will revolutionize activities in the district because during the rainy season people were forced to cross the rivers by canoe.
Chemba district administrator João Patricio said that the rehabilitation of access roads and the building of bridges would shorten the travelling distance between Manica and Tete provinces in the north of the country.
