Cimentos de Moçambique now has nine internal auditors trained to ISO 9001 on a quality management system designed to develop and maintain a portfolio of services which allow companies to improve their performance.
The main objective of the training is to provide the participants. located at strategic points within the company with expertise in quality management, personal skills and process auditor techniques.
The nine Cimentos de Moçambique employees are now able to carry out quality audits to evaluate the quality of actions in a constructive process, and help prevent problems at different levels. These form an important element in competitiveness and are being increasingly adopted in various organizations around the world.
The new auditors will be able to perform internal audits, identify nonconformities and address them in a timely manner.
The training course culminated in an internal audit at the Matola cement plant, as part of the process of preparing the factory for external quality certification of its products.
Dondo factory invests in bulk extraction system
The cement plant in Dondo, Sofala province, now has a new bulk cement extraction system. The equipment allows automatic cement extraction, ensuring lower exposure to possible negative effects of the production process for employees themselves while simultaneously reducing loading time.
