Government hopes to have strategy in January to make debt sustainable

The Mozambican Economy and Finance Minister said the government hopes to have a position on the strategy to normalize public debt in January, noting that “things can go very well.”

“What the IMF is saying is that the government has to explain what strategy it has to bring this debt to sustainability. The answer is that we as government have hired specialists who know how to work with creditors, ” said Adriano Maleiane, at a press conference held in Maputo.
