Mozambique: Four sustain minor injuries in coal ship fire
Robbers still on the loose this week paid a visit to the home in the Belo Horizonte neighbourhood of Boane district, Maputo, of renowned Mozambican musician Mr Bow, stealing goods and severely injuring the artist’s brother.
One guard was injured during the incident; the remainder fled. The case has already been reported to police authorities in the province of Maputo.
The Bow-Liloca couple were not at home at the time. Bow’s brother says that while they were ransacking the house the criminals constantly asked where they were, which suggests that they came with the intention of attacking the couple for whatever motive.
This is reputedly not the first time strangers had moved on the house in search of the musicians, on all occasions without success.
Mr Bow won the Most Popular Musician award in Radio Moçambique’s 2016 Ngoma competition this year.
