Adriano Afonso Maleiane was the Prime Minister of Mozambique from March 2022 to January 2025. He had previously served as Minister of Economy and Finance.
Adriano Maleiane worked in the Banking Sector for more than 33 years in various positions, including as Central Bank Governor in Mozambique for 15 years.
He also worked as National Director for Agrarian Economy in the Ministry of Agriculture, coordinating the implementation of the agrarian policy. He lectured financial systems at the Eduardo Mondlane University. Adriano’s background is in Accounting and Financial Sciences.
