The great Maria Bethania is in Mozambique – For ‘Ensaio Poético’ with Agualusa and Mia Couto @ UEM Cultural Centre

Brazilian singer Maria Bethania is in Mozambique for ‘Ensaio Poético’, a performance wher she will bring together on the same stage Mia Couto (Mozambique) and José Eduardo Agualusa (Angola).
The performance takes place on Wednesday at the University Cultural Centre of Eduardo Mondlane University, in Maputo.
‘Ensaio Poético’ is produced by Cine Group and will be marked by a combination of music and poetry, seen as a moment of encounter between three cultures linked by the Portuguese language.
On Sunday, Maria Bethania was welcomed to Mozambique with timbila (music) and tufo (dance), in an event attended among others by the Ministers of Education and Human Development, Jorge Ferrao and Culture and Tourism, Silva Dunduro.
The discography of Brazilian singer Maria Bethania has 34 studio albums, 15 live albums, several participations in soundtracks of films and novels, as well as numerous collaborations with other artists. During her career Bethania has sold over 26 million copies.
