Maputo province imposes animal movement restrictions in Sábie following foot-and-mouth outbreak

Authorities in Maputo province have restricted animal movement in Sábie administrative post, Moamba district, due to the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD).

The movement of cattle, goats, sheep and pigs for breeding is currently prohibited in the administrative post, said Paulo Cossa, Maputo Provincial Director of Agriculture and Fisheries.
