Mozambique: President appoints new rectors to public universities

President Daniel Chapo has appointed new rectors and vice-rectors of public universities, following the dismissal of their predecessors through presidential decrees.
At Lúrio University (UniLúrio), Rector Leda Florinda Hugo has been dismissed and replaced by Eusébio Victor Macete.
Bettencourt Capece has been removed from his position as Rector of Zambeze University (UniZambeze) and replaced by Luís Miguel Estêvão Cristóvão.
Meanwhile, Ana Maria Nhampule has been replaced as Vice-Rector of Joaquim Chissano University (UJC) by Carlos Shenga.
Anabela Matangue Zacarias da Silva has been dismissed as Vice-Rector of Zambeze University (UniZambeze) and replaced by Alexandre Hilário Monteiro Baia.
The Vice-Rector of Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM), Joel Maurício das Neves Tembe, has been dismissed and replaced by Mohsin Mahomed Sidat.
The newly appointed officials will take office tomorrow at the Presidency of the Republic, in Maputo.
