Mozambique to launch tender for new airport in Xai-Xai

The city of Xai-Xai in Gaza province may soon have its own airport, Vice Minister of Transport and Communications Manuela Rebelo has told Radio Mozambique.
It is understood that two companies have already presented the government with economic feasibility studies for the construction of the airport, and Vice Minister Rebelo has announced that the government will soon launch a public tender process for the work.
Xai-Xai is the capital city of Gaza southern province and it is located about 210 km from Maputo.
