Radio Mozambique (RM) and Transporte Multiplexação e Transmissão (TMT) have agreed to share antennae for the transmission of digital radio signals.
The intention was announced yesterday through a memorandum of understanding that aims to accelerate the digitalization process in rural regions and allow more communities to access the signal.
TMT chairman António Barros noted that his company has been in the market for five years and already has coverage of 70% of national territory.
José Bolacha, Technical Director of Radio Mozambique, said that the agreement would rationalize resources, from equipment acquisition to maintenance, and streamline the digitalization of broadcast transmission in the provinces.
