Mozambique to host National Youth Job Fair: Feira de Emprego 2025
The National Employment Institute (INEP), in partnership with the MozYouth Foundation and SDO Moçambique, is proud to announce Feira de Emprego 2025, an upcoming Youth Employment Fair and National Youth Meeting, planned for August 8, 2025, at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Center in Maputo.
The one-day event will bring together 60 companies from across the country, ranging from small and medium enterprises to large national and multinational corporations, operating in sectors such as energy, ICT, finance, telecommunications, media, human resources, and development cooperation. Exhibitors will present a broad spectrum of opportunities, including internships and entry-level jobs.
“This fair is a concrete step in our mission to improve employment outcomes for Mozambican youth,” said Roy Tembe, Director General of INEP. “By bringing together the government, the private sector, and development partners, we are creating the real conditions for inclusive opportunities of sustainable jobs for our young people.”
Feira de Emprego 2025 is supported by leading development partners, including the Embassy of Ireland and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). This year, the fair will also feature a special focus on the green economy, promoting sustainable business models, climate-resilient industries, and career paths aligned with a low-carbon future.
“This is a real opportunity for young people to take the first step in their careers,” said Daniela Timmich, Program Manager at the MozYouth Foundation. “We encourage all young people to come prepared: bring your CVs, dress professionally, and be ready to meet potential employers. Many companies are looking to interview candidates and start building talent pipelines on the spot.”
Participation is free and open to the public, with no registration required for visitors. All young people interested in exploring career paths, connecting with employers, or accessing real employment opportunities are encouraged to attend.
In addition to the careers fair, the event will include a National Youth Meeting, a high-level platform for dialogue and recognition of impactful initiatives that promote youth employment. The morning session will feature institutional leaders and development partners, and will include the presentation of certificates to companies and organizations demonstrating strong commitment to youth employability. These entities will also be invited to make public pledges to create internships, training programs, or job placements.
“The National Youth Meeting is a unique opportunity for reflection and action,” said Vicente Sitoe, Executive Director of SDO Moçambique. “It will bring together youth voices, institutional leadership, and the private sector to discuss how we can scale up efforts and work together to meet the employment aspirations of Mozambique’s youth.”
Companies and institutions wishing to exhibit and showcase their training or recruitment opportunities are invited to book a stand by contacting the organizers via the following:
