Mozambique: Mondlane summoned by the Public Prosecutor’s Office with a detention warning

According to a note from the Attorney General’s Office of the City of Maputo, Venâncio Mondlane, the Mozambican politician, was summoned last Friday (20-06) to “appear at the Attorney General’s Office at 9:00 a.m. on the 27th of June 2025 next [Friday]”, to “provide additional clarifications”.
The summons also contains a warning: “The person concerned is hereby warned that unjustified failure to appear will result in the payment of a fine ranging from 1 to 5 minimum wages and without prejudice to his detention being ordered.”
