The European Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) yesterday took part in a Civil and Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activity at the Pediatric Emergency Service at Maputo Central Hospital.
The group of military from EUMAM MOZ, together with a representative member of the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM), were welcomed by Dra. Faizana Amodo, Director of the Paediatric Oncology Service, who gave a tour of the facilities.
In the visit there were distributed more than 70 books, destinated to the library of the Pediatric Services, and various food item for the hospitalized children.
The group was very welcomed and it was a different morning where partnership was more than a word. Initiatives like this are essential for fostering solidarity and support within communities, raising awareness of ongoing struggles and helping, in this case, several children to have a more happy day.
