MLS Scaffolding has received ISO certificates for its Quality Management System (NM ISO 9001: 2015) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (NM ISO 45001).
The award ceremony, held in Maputo on Tuesday (08-04) was led by the Director General of the National Institute of Standardization and Quality – IP (INNOQ, IP), Geraldo Albasini, who presented the certificates to the company’s director general, Salvador Cuinica, in the presence of employees and partners of the organization.
In his speech, Geraldo Albasini highlighted that the main objective of the NM ISO 9001:2015 standard is to ensure that the company provides products and services that meet customer expectations. The NM ISO 45001:2018 standard establishes requirements for a safer and healthier work environment, promoting the prevention of accidents and occupational diseases.
Albasinir also added that the effectiveness of the implementation of the two technical standards will depend on the coordination between top management, operational and support management, including subcontracted service providers.
In turn, the director of MLS Scaffolding Lda, Salvador Cuinica, thanked the employees for their commitment and dedication that culminated in the company’s certification, which thus becomes the only certified company in the scaffolding engineering sector with 100% Mozambican capital.
Cuinica also stressed that the certification does not represent the end of the company’s mission, but rather the beginning of a new, even more demanding stage, which requires an ongoing commitment to the high standards of quality and safety now recognized.
