Mozambique: Communities in Banhine National Park begin to benefit from 20% tax

The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, on Friday (11-04) met Ayanda Dlodlo, special envoy of the South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, who requested Mozambique’s support for the South African candidacy for the presidency of the African Development Bank (AfDB), reads a statement issued by the Presidency.
The visit was part of the cooperation and solidarity relations between the two Southern African countries, with emphasis on strengthening partnerships in the area of economic development and regional security.
Speaking to the press after the meeting in Maputo, Ayanda Dlodlo stated that the request was made on behalf of President Cyril Ramaphosa, as part of South Africa’s diplomatic efforts to secure the support of friendly countries for its candidacy. “We discussed the request for support on behalf of President Cyril Ramaphosa, requesting support for South Africa’s candidacy for the presidency of the African Development Bank,” she explained.
Dlodlo stressed that relations between Mozambique and South Africa are historic and deep, dating back to the pre-colonial period, with continuous growth over the years.
“Cooperation between Mozambique and South Africa is very historic, and it dates back a long time, during the colonial era and even before the colonial era, and has grown exponentially over the years,” she highlighted.
In the area of bilateral cooperation, Dlodlo pointed to strides in the areas of development and security, reiterating the commitment of the two countries to maintain a strategic partnership for the stability and progress of the region.

“There is a lot of cooperation between the two countries, from the point of view of development and also from the point of view of security,” she concluded.
