The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, dismissed, by Presidential Order, Joaquim Rivas Mangrasse from the post of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Defence of Mozambique (FADM). Júlio dos Santos Jane was appointed to the post.
According to the presidential statement, the inauguration of the new Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Defence of Mozambique will take place tomorrow Friday afternoon, at the General Staff.
Júlio Jane has a long career which includes several positions, notably Director General of the State Intelligence and Security Service (SISE), General Commander of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique and Commander of the Civic Service of Mozambique.
