Fuel supply at gas stations in the city of Tete has now returned to normal. Motorists say they are relieved and hope that the recovery will be permanent.
For around two weeks, the city of Tete had been experiencing a shortage of fuel at gas stations, particularly gasoline. The situation caused queuing, with motorists waiting up to two hours to fill up.
Now, normality is returning, with almost all privately managed gas stations selling gasoline again.
Owners of gas stations in the city centre say that there is enough gasoline to satisfy demand, and reserves for at least two weeks.
Despite the availability of fuel, some people are still stockpiling using plastic bottles, with the aim of perhaps reselling them later.
The Galp and Petromoc gas stations are the only ones that have do not as yet have gasoline supplies.
