Mozambique: President wants government action plan on reducing road accidents

The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, has arrived in Nampula for a three-day working visit to the country’s most populous province.
This morning, the head of state will address a rally and chair an extraordinary session of the Provincial Executive Council in the city of Nampula, which will include members of the Council of State Representation Services, district administrators and presidents of municipal councils.
Tomorrow, Friday, still in the city of Nampula, President Chapo will launch the Economic Recovery Fund and hand out cheques to representatives of the applicant entities, before travelling to the district of Nacala, where he will launch the ‘Internet in schools’ and ‘Internet for all’ projects at the Cidade Alta Secondary School.
Still in Nacala, Daniel Chapo will launch the Integrated Birth Registration and Civil Identification Campaign and will meet businesspeople.
On Saturday, the head of state will travel to the districts of Mogovolas and Rapale.
In Mogovolas, Daniel Chapo will work at the Muriazem Administrative Post and in Rapale, where he will visit the Novos Horizontes poultry company, after which he will lead a meeting with the state’s local bodies.
The president will conclude his visit with a meeting with local state bodies, this time in the district of Nampula.
