Chimoio Provincial Hospital, in central Manica province, is facing a shortage of plaster and laboratory reagents, ‘Notícia reports.’.
The situation is making it difficult for patients seeking health care at the unit.
In view of the situation, many are being forced to turn to the private sector for lab tests and trauma treatment.
The health authorities in Manica have promised to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
It is worth noting that this lack of resources for care is not new. Last year, Nampula Central Hospital faced a similar situation. At the time, this hospital had to resort to using cardboard for casts and splints due to a lack of plaster.
