Fuel supply in the city of Pemba is returning to normal after almost a week of crisis, which nearly paralyzed the province of Cabo Delgado.
investigation by ‘O País’ found that some of the fuel stations that were closed almost a week ago have reopened. But, although the situation has improved somewhat, the problem remains.
For example, with uncertainty about the full reopening of National Highway Number One (N1) persisting, some fuel stations are rationing customers, so as to avoid a total shutdown.
Almost four days after a ship unloaded 7,000 cubic metres of fuel in the port of Pemba, the city of Pemba remained partially paralyzed, due to the impassability of the N1, which has been closed for about a week.
