Galp Mozambique has concluded the 5th round of it ‘Todos os Passos Contam’ initiative by delivering 10 tonnes of food to the Makobo Platform, which manages various social development infrastructures based on food support for the most disadvantaged populations.
This action is part of Galp’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and forms part of the total of more than 22 tonnes of basic food necessities donated over the five years of the initiative’s implementation.
‘All Steps Count’ converts into meals all the kilometres recorded by an app carried by Galp employees, partners or friends, in activities such as running, walking, or simply in their daily lives, promoting a more active and involved lifestyle.
This fifth edition of the initiative, held at the end of 2024, reached 6,465 km, converted into the same number of meals.
“The success of the ‘All Steps Count’ initiative demonstrates the genuine commitment of Galp, its employees and partners in building a more humane, fair and supportive society,” CEO of Galp Mozambique Paulo Varela said.
“The partnership with Galp has been fundamental in supporting our mission,” says Ruy Santos, founder of the Makobo Platform.
“This gesture helps to ensure that many families receive food and reinforces the commitment to solidarity and social inclusion, which is especially relevant in these times of great need in which we live,” added Santos.
