Algeria defeat Mozambique 5-1 in World Cup qualifiers

The National Football Coach, Chiquinho Conde, released today the list of 32 “Mambas” players called up for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which will take place on March 20 and 25, against Uganda and Algeria, respectively.
Among those called up, the highlights are the returns of goalkeeper Kimiss Zavala (Marítimo de Portugal), who replaces Fazito, from Ferroviário de Nampula, and defenders Edmilson Dove (Kaiser Chiefs) and Chico Muchanga (Costa do Sol), who replace Mexer, who is injured, and David Malembane. The lineup also includes the first call-up of striker Kélvio Neves, from Associação Black Bulls, to reinforce the attack.
Remembering that the players who evolve in the national championship will travel to Cairo, capital of Egypt, next Sunday. In turn, those who play abroad must join the group in the Egyptian capital.

Fifteen defenders: Infren Matola (União Desportiva de Songo), Domingos Macandza “Mexer” (Black Bulls Association), Reinildo Mandava (Atlético Madrid, Spain), Edmilson Dove (Kaizer Chiefs, South Africa), Feliciano Jone “Nené” (Black Bulls Association), Fernando Chambuco “Chamboco” (Black Bulls Association), Francisco Muchanga “Chico” (Costa do Sol), Bruno Langa (UD Almería, Spain).
Seven midfielders: Alfonso Amade (Septemvri Sofia, Bulgaria), Ricardo Guimarães “Guima” (Zira FK, Azerbaijan), Amade Momade “Amadou” (Tanzania Prisons, Tanzania), Shaquille Nangy (Sagrada Esperança, Angola), Pedro Santos “Pepo” (Caldas SC, Portugal), Elias Pelembe “Domingues” (Songo Sports Union), João Bonde (Ferroviário da Beira).
