The Mayor of Quelimane, in Zambézia, says that the successful implementation of the political commitment to an inclusive national dialogue, signed last Wednesday, depends on the contribution of all sectors of society.
Manuel de Araújo believes that the political agreement could influence the reestablishment of peace.
“Why was the Agreement signed? I could give two possible answers; one would be to resolve the problem of demonstrations. The second issue is to set up an architecture in the system to discuss the country’s problems in an orderly manner. This agreement is an attempt to find an extra-parliamentary and more comprehensive space to discuss the country’s problems. Will we be able to do it? That will depend on the commitment of each one of us,” he said.
