Meeting Lagarde at IMF and Susan Rice at the White House – Nyusi’s agenda in Washington today

On the second day of the President Nyusi’s visit to the US, the head of state will have a face-to-face meeting with the director general of the IMF, Christine Lagarde.
On the table will be the issue of Mozambique’s public debt.
The day will also be marked by a visit to the White House, where President Nyusi will meet US national security adviser, Susan Rice, in what is being described as the high point of diplomacy between the two countries.
