Work has already begun to repair the broken pump at the Polana Caniço General Hospital, which was causing water restriction problems in the health unit. In addition, another pump will be installed to reinforce supply capacity.
The problem of water restrictions at the Polana Caniço General Hospital appears to be on its last legs.
Two days after we reported on the difficulties faced at that health unit due to restrictions on water supply, a team went there and work is already underway.
“In fact, we do not have a water shortage, but we have supply restrictions at certain times because we have a pump that does not have the capacity to support the demand of the entire health unit, that is, it cannot distribute water to all sectors, which is why we are carrying out this small project, in order to see if we can solve this problem definitively”, explained Patrícia Langa, director of the hospital unit.
To reinforce the water supply capacity throughout the health unit and avoid restrictions, a new pump will also be installed.
“At the moment, work is being done for piping purposes and after that the allocation of the pump will be made, which is in the process of being acquired and which will be supplied by a private entity. We believe that from now on we will not have problems with water restrictions.”
The work is being done voluntarily by individual entities and could be completed in less than two weeks.
