Mozambique: Traffic normalised on N4 Maputo-South Africa road

The Maputo Municipal Council regrets the damage to 20 traffic light systems, out of the 64 existing, during the post-election demonstrations that took place between the months of October, November, December and January.
The announcement was made yesterday by the Maputo Municipal Council in a press release received by “Notícias Online”.
The damage was most prevalent on Avenida de Moçambique (in its entirety), Avenida de Angola and Acordos de Lusaka (partially), where 100 traffic light posts were vandalized, stolen and knocked down; 10 Controllers (CPU), 141 lanterns, two solar panels, two batteries and 1,563 meters of electrical cable.
