Two individuals, aged 32 and 36 respectively, are being held at the 12th Police Station of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM), accused of stealing vehicles at the Baía Mall Shopping Centre in Maputo.
According to National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) spokesperson Hilário Lole, the
suspects were arrested while trying to steal yet another vehicle.
“At the time of their arrest, they were in a Toyota Ractis vehicle, which had also been stolen at the same location. Investigations indicate that the stolen vehicles are later taken to the province of Inhambane, where they are sold for prices ranging from 50,000 to 75,000
meticais,” he said.
