Mozambique: Maputo to host Zone 4 African Boxing Championships

The Estrela Vermelha Pavilion in Maputo will from 26 February to 2 March host the Zone 4 African Boxing Championships.
South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Lesotho, Namibia, Tanzania and Malawi have already confirmed their participation.
The Mozambican Boxing Federation has committed to the competition by placing the largest number of boxers in the finals of the various categories, as well as winning the largest number of medals, seeking to maintain its hegemony in the sport in the region.
The regional competition counts as a qualifier for the 2028 Olympic Games.
