UK diplomat claims massive increase in trade with Mozambique - AIM report

The European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) participated in a meeting aimed at integrating the Advisory Group into the command structure of the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM).
This meeting marked an important step in consolidating the partnership between EUMAM MOZ and the FADM. It focused on supporting the FADM in implementing and enhancing their capabilities, which improve the sustainability of the trained Quick Reaction Forces (QRF) in order to them to operate in Cabo Delgado region in a robust and autonomous operational cycle and developing a sustainable Operational Headquarter and establishing a General Staff for the QRF.
During the meeting, key challenges, specific support needs, and best practices to optimise command and coordination processes were discussed. The integration of the EUMAM MOZ Advisory Group aims to provide closer and more effective advice, aligned with the FADM’s strategic objectives and the need to improve the security and stability.
EUMAM MOZ is a non-executive mission with a mandate that runs until 20 June 2026. It is composed by 83 military and civilian personnel from 10 European Union member states, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Spain and one non-European Union member state, Serbia.
