Fire hits Malanga market in Maputo

The Goba railway line has reopened to train traffic after yesterday’s interruption by an accident involving a truck and a freight train bound for the Port of Maputo, at the Beluluane level crossing.
The accident, which occurred at around 2:00 p.m., closed the track for several hours, while technicians from the Mozambique Railways (CFM) worked to remove obstacles on the line.
The collision between the train and the truck occurred two days after the derailment of a freight train on the Ressano Garcia line, which is also affecting the transport of people, goods and merchandise on that corridor.
