The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) warns that Mozambique may be affected by the Moderate Tropical Storm Faida from Wednesday, 5 February, onwards.
A statement from INAM indicates that Faida will enter the Mozambique Channel on Wednesday and move towards the coast of the country.
It is currently over Madagascar, having evolved from a Tropical Depression to a Moderate Tropical Storm.
In light of the bad weather forecast, INAM urges the population to continue to seek out meteorological information and follow warnings issued by the competent national authorities.
