One hundred and nineteen former RENAMO guerrillas involved in the DDR process in Gorongosa district, Sofala, received donations of food products this Wednesday, as part of the International Day of Peace, marked yesterday.
In addition to food products, the group also received kits containing agricultural inputs to mitigate the effects of the El Niño climatic phenomenon.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture and called for the initiative to be extended to others.
The administrator of Gorongosa, Pedro Mussenge, stated that the district government and its partners will soon disburse more than five tonnes of products to support other vulnerable populations.
