Islamic Council of Mozambique calls for tolerance and forgiveness

The Islamic Council of Mozambique has called for tolerance and forgiveness among Mozambicans to foster peace and national unity in light of the country’s current political situation.
According to the President of the religious institution, the spirit of tolerance and forgiveness among Mozambicans is essential to overcoming present challenges.
Speaking on the occasion of the New Year and World Peace Day, observed this Wednesday, Sheikh Aminuddin Muhammad emphasised that differences among Mozambicans should be a source of strength rather than division.
“I recommend that there be a spirit of peace and tolerance among all of us Mozambicans. Let us forget each other’s mistakes and learn to forgive one another, because by doing so, it becomes much easier to build our nation. We must prioritise the interests of the nation above our partisan interests,” he said.
