Fallen power poles, road barricades, vandalized and looted establishments—including police units, fuel stations, and bank branches—are the aftermath of yesterday’s post-election protests in the city and province of Maputo.
Currently, passenger transportation is nearly nonexistent, and the few vehicles on the streets are moving cautiously. In some neighborhoods, there are restrictions on electricity and water supply.
