The MozYouth Foundation and Save the Children today, December 13, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a new phase in the MozYouth internship program. This partnership aims to provide a valuable professional training opportunity for young Mozambicans and strengthen Save the Children’s team with local young talent.
The MozYouth Foundation is expanding its network by welcoming an additional company to its already impressive roster of collaborators all dedicated to empowering youth through the internship program. Nine new interns will start their roles in January 2025 across the cities of Chokwé, Nampula, and Maputo. They will gain experience in key fields such as data analysis, network administration, project management, and more.
“Our partnership with MozYouth is a great source of joy. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work together to empower young Mozambicans and ensure that they acquire the skills necessary for a better future. We hope this collaboration will be long-lasting and positively impact the lives of many more children and young people in the country,” said Ilaria Manunza, Country Director of Save the Children.
Pedro Santos, Director General of MozYouth, also expressed his satisfaction: “We are very happy with this collaboration with Save the Children. This project serves as an important example for other companies and organizations that can join us in our mission to empower young Mozambicans. We hope this program inspires more partnerships that contribute to a more inclusive and prosperous future for all.”
Save the Children, one of the world’s leading organizations advocating for children’s rights, joins MozYouth in this partnership, reinforcing its commitment to inclusion and the empowerment of young Mozambicans. The MozYouth Foundation, which believes in the power of public-private partnerships to fight youth unemployment, is proud to see its network of collaborators expand, aiming to empower and train the Mozambican youth.
