Mozambique post-electoral crisis: Nyusi meets with members of the press – O País

The President of the Republic i held a meeting this Thursday with press managers as part of the search for solutions to the post-electoral crisis, O País reports.

Filipe Nyusi says that, in addition to these formal meetings, he has held other, informal, ones.

“I made room to talk to you people who work with information, so that we can discuss possible solutions together. I don’t usually comment much on these occasions – I’m here to listen to your ideas,” the president said.

The meeting includes chairmen of Boards of Directors, editors-in-chief, editors and other press stakeholders from radio, television, newspapers and others.

“I invited some people who are not necessarily in charge of institutions, but who have a history of contributing to the resolution of conflicts, such as the one in Muchungue,” Filipe Nyusi said, before inviting reporters to leave the room so that the guests would feel free to say whatever they wanted.
