The city of Maputo and other capital cities have been facing internet access restrictions for over five hours, CanalMoz reports on its Facebook page.
According to the same source, mobile internet was “switched off” at around 12 noon this Friday.
Officially, there is no explanation, hence it is already being speculated that this is a measure to prevent citizens from sharing videos of the demonstrations and from mobilizing on WhatsApp and Facebook, the platforms most used in these demonstrations.
The restriction is felt more among mobile phone users, CanalMoz reports.
