The Police of the Republic of Mozambique reportedly cornered the kidnappers of the kidnapped businessman downtown, to the point of forcing the bandits to abandon the victim at Matola Station.
According to the PRM spokesperson in Maputo, Leonel Muchina, the Police activated their operational lines and began a relentless chase until the kidnap victim was released.
The victim’s physical health is stable, but he is traumatized by the kidnapping.
At this time, PRM agents are sweeping the city and province of Maputo to locate the kidnappers.
