Traffic on the bridge over the Incomáti river in Magude district, Maputo province, has been restricted since yesterday, to allow for work on the surface of the bridge access road.
According to Magude district administrator Lázaro Mbambamba, drivers are being urged, for three days, to use alternative routes such as the drift over the Incomati in Mahlanganine, Mulelemane locality.
The work on the road that gives access to the town of Magude is being financed by the Xinavane sugar company, as part of its social responsibility programme.
